Rice Krispies

Rice Krispies

Feed your sweet tooth

Ingredients

For 8 inch tin

  • 4 + 2/3 cups Rice Krispies
  • 4 tbsp Salted butter
  • 10 oz Marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Melt marshmallows and butter together in microwave for about 1 minute. Take out occasionally and stir to check if it’s melted to make sure you won’t over cook the marshmallows.
  2. Stir in rice krispies carefully
  3. Spread into 8 inch tin and chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut and serve!

Make animations and GIFs with Photoshop!

Instructions

  1. Each layer will be a frame of your animation. Utilize the opacity bar, guidelines and layer visibility to arrange your object in each layer.
  2. When you’re done making each layer of your animation, open up the Timeline tool by going to Windows-> Timeline. It should pop up on the bottom of your screen.
  3. Click on create Frame Animation.
  4. Select all of your layers.
  5. On the top right of your timeline window there is an icon with 3 bars. Click on it and the Make Frames from Layers
  6. Your layers should then be arranged in order. You can adjust the duration of the frame and press play to preview the animation.
  7. When finished, export as a GIF by going to File->Export->Save for Web. You can preview again before saving.

Supplies

  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape

Instructions

  1. Accordion fold a piece of paper on the short side into half inch pleats
  2. Cut the piece of paper in half on the short side so you can tape together the pleats into one long strip.
  3. Make sure the pleats line up, trim if necessary
  4. Tape together pairs on one side of the pleats to gather the pleats into a fan shape.
  5. Repeat, taping together taped pairs to hold the shape.
  6. If the paper is curling towards one side, flip the fan over and tape together pairs of pleats on the other side to balance out the fan.
  7. Optionally, tape the bottom together to hold the fan more open or closed.

Supplies

  • Paper

Instructions

  1. Make a square piece of paper
  2. Fold the paper into 8ths (folding in half lengthways, vertically and diagonally)
  3. Fold in all four corners to the center to make a smaller square
  4. Fold this smaller square into thirds on both axis to create lines that separate the square into 9 tiny squares.
  5. Open up one of the corners of the smaller square, then fold in the left and right tiny squares in the top row until it brings in one of the walls of the boxes. There will be a little triangle sticking up. Tuck that in.
  6. Repeat on the other side.

Ingredients

  • Popcorn
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar (optional) (If you already have cinnamon sugar, that works too)
  • Bowl

Instructions

  1. Make popcorn
    1. out of a bag, or from kernels
  2. As soon as it’s done popping, when it is still hot! Add cinnamon or cinnamon sugar
    1. if kernels are plain, spray with butter or oil first and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar (helps coating)
  3. Thoroughly mix and season evenly, enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Pop-Up Card

Make a Pop-Up card!

Up your gift-giving game with a fun personalized letter!

Supplies

  • paper (colored construction paper was used in the video)
  • scissors
  • pencil/pen
  • tape and/or glue

Instructions

  1. Choose paper and fold in half
  2. Mark out slits to cut out (for the “pop” part)
  3. Cut and crease the pop-out sections
  4. Measure, trace, and cut out the symbols or letters you want
  5. Attach them to the pop outs
  6. Adhere the inner paper to the outer cover
  7. Crease where necessary and make sure it opens and closes well, without being folded incorrectly
  8. Decorate the outside cover of your card
  9. Write a message inside and send it off!

Thai Tea Pudding

Thai Tea Pudding

Surprisingly easy, unsurprisingly delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Thai Tea bag or 1 tbsp thai tea mix
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Simmer milk
  2. Remove from heat and steep tea leaves for 3 minutes
  3. Remove tea leaves and add in 1/2 cup condensed milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Taste now and add sugar if needed.
  4. Add cornstarch.
  5. Bring to low boil, stirring continuously.
  6. After it starts to solidify, keep stirring for 1 minute and 30 seconds, making sure it doesn’t stick and burn on the bottom.
  7. Pour into container and serve chilled.
