- Pre-cooked white cornmeal
- Water
- Salt
- Cheese
- Oil
- Pour 1 cup of cornmeal
- Pour 1/2 tsp of salt
- Put in a handful of cheese
- Mix the dry ingredients
- Pour 1 cup of water
- Stir the mix together
- Knead the dough
- Roll a handful of dough in your palms
- Flatten the dough
- Pour oil on the pan
- heat the pan over medium heat
- Place the dough on the pan
- Cook for 4 minutes
- Flip the arepas
- Cook for another 2 minutes
- Plate the arepas and enjoy!
- Tortillas
- Cookie Butter/Nutella/other similar spread
- Chocolate Syrup
- Preheat a non-stick pan to low-medium heat.
- Place tortilla in pan until slightly golden on both sides.
- Add cookie butter (or Nutella or other similar spread).
- Fold tortilla in half and make sure to spread the filling evenly.
- Fold tortilla in half again and plate.
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
